Elopement
Jill & Mac
We met Jill and Mac in the parking lot of a lake in Kananaskis Country at sunrise on a not-too-cold winter morning in December during the Covid-19 pandemic. We had arrived earlier and scouted out the area, while the bride and groom layered up in the car. The special day for them to tie the knot was on their nine year anniversary, making the day even more magical!
Jill and Mac were absolute troopers throughout their sunrise portraits in the middle of winter. The cloud cover brought in the freezing winds along the lakeshore, but gentle snow fall all through the morning making it an absolutely magical sight.
We had to do our photos in bursts, with lots of time in between to warm up in the car for the couple, and to drive to different locations!
Jill and Mac laughed, danced, cuddled for warmth and kissed as the snow fell gently around them. It was such a beautiful morning, we couldn’t have asked for better weather, given the time of year! Jill looked like a winter princess and Mac was most dapper in his hat and vest. They incorporated such simple and classy items for their special day, which really captured the winter time elopement.
Congratulations, Jill & Mac, on your nuptials!
